Aluminium body piston type quick change tool post to fit the Sherline lathes. This is not a Sherline item but fits the Sherline perfectly. Tooling shown in photos is included. You get the tool post it self. 4 Tool Bit Holders. 1 Cut Off Tool Holder. 1 Boring Bar holder for 3/8 shank boring bars. 1 Custom made tool post stud to fit the Sherline lathe. 1 3/8 Drill Chuck made by Jacobs. 1 MT0 x 1/2-20 Tpi Arbor for the drill chuck to mount to the tail stock. 1 MT0 Live Center for the tail stock. These Tool Posts are not made in China. Their made for me in India and I stock all the replacement parts you may need. All these items are direct fit to the Sherline Lathe. You shouldn’t have to do anything to fit your lathe. The square body of the tool post is 1 9/16 high. I have extra tool holders and replacement parts. Please contact me if you want them.

THE DISTANCE FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE BASE PLATE TO THE CENTER OF THE SLOT FOR THE TOOL HOLDER IS 2 3/4 APPROX. THE SLOT FOR THE TOOL IS 11/16 APPROX. THERE ARE A COUPLE RUSTY SPOTS ON IT THE ASSEMBLY. Here is a nice condition Armstrong Quick Change Tool Holder Post no 81-011 and Armstrong Tool Holder no 5C-QC. Everyone that does any type of lathe work knows the name and reputation of Armstrong, they have made tool holders for many many years, this tool holder says Chicago U. Made at a place and time when tooling was made to strict standards and would last many lifetimes. This is a very robust tool holder. Tool post and tool holder in pretty nice condition, not all beat up from over use, has original red ball handle. It is a used item so expect to find oil, grease, dirt, scratches, chips, rust, wear and tear, ect. Consistent with normal usage for an item of it’s age.
